In the world of live television, SAG-AFTRA members are hired to be "STAND-IN ACTORS" (Rehearsal Actors) to do the same things "judges" and "contestants" and celebs have to do live. We are not just "Stand-Ins"...we actually have to read teleprompter copy, and show the director exactly what the stars will be doing....and also to do BACKGROUND ACTING.
 

On AMERICAN IDOL, I worked on the show from 2009-2021 first as the "stand-in" for Steven Tyler and Ryan Seacrest and then even contestants. I actually did many finale dress rehearsals as "Ryan." It was a job I LOVED!!!

Other shows I've worked on are THE VOICE, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, DANCING WITH THE STARS and many others (you can see the pics above). 

 

On AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, I was Howie Mandel's "stand in" for all the L.A. based episodes. (2010-2018) I work on THE GOLDEN GLOBES and for the first time on THE OSCARS (13) (and went Viral all over the world with the bit I did on the show...see the video above). 
 

Other shows have included : THE KIDS CHOICE AWARDS, ABC's SPLASH and the GSN Game Show THE CHASE and for THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY TELETHON, Spike's GUYS CHOICE AWARDS and the ALMA AWARDS on MSNBC (I played Mario Lopez for the rehearsals. Type casting...lol) and THE BIGGEST LOSER FINALE. THE HUADING AWARDS (Chinese Oscars), ESPY AWARDS, AND the FANTASTIC "CAUSE FOR PAWS" Adopt-a-Thon on FOX,  The SAG AWARDS, THE BIGGEST LOSER FINALE , AMERICAN IDOL and THE JUSTIN BIEBER ROAST on Comedy Central, the KIDS CHOICE AWARDS, The EMMYS, THE FOOD FIGHTERS, KNOCK KNOCK LIVE, ELLEN, AMAZON'S "TRANSPARENT," "DAYS OF OUR LIVES", "FULLER HOUSE", and much more.....PLUS....THE GOLDEN GLOBES, THE SAG AWARDS , the last season for AMERICAN IDOL, CRASHELETES, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: Next Generation, and the whole season as "Howie" on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, THE EMMY AWARDS, THE HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARDS, and ABC game shows "TO TELL THE TRUTH" & "BOY BAND."

 

It is a challenging job as you want to give the director the timing and feel for what will happen when the stars are live. This includes reading TelePromtTer copy, accepting and giving awards, and critiques for "talent shows".  I love my work!
